Your Excursion descriptions and about the places you stay:
ColomboColombo
A frenetic beehive of commotion on the west coast of the island, this metropolis is the centre of economic and political endeavor in Sri Lanka. Situated 30kms away from Katunayake Airport. Colombo is a fascinating city, not only for its comfortable blend of East and West, but also for its cozy mixture of the past and present. It is the commercial capital of the county, city is filled with shopping malls, bazaars and interesting tourist attractions like Buddhist temples, Hindu temples, churches the old Parliament building, the zoo, museums, and art galleries.

Dambulla Cave TempleDambulla Cave Temple
Situated 72 km north of Kandy, Dambulla marks the geographical centre of the island and the Cultural Triangle. It also holds its own treasure - a magnificent temple, which is a series of five caves established as a monastery in the 3rd Century BC. These caves, built at the base of a 150m high rock during the Anuradhapura (1st Century BC to 993 AD) and Polonnaruwa times (1073 to 1250), are by far the most impressive of the many cave temples found in Sri Lanka. Access is along the gentle slope of the Dambulla Rock, offering a panoramic view of the surrounding flat lands, which includes the rock fortress Sigiriya, 19kms away. Families of friendly monkeys make the climb even more interesting. Dusk brings hundreds of swooping swallows to the cave entrance.

GalleGalle
Galle Town is a charming time locked citadel with glamorous boutique hotels, old world back streets, and an eclectic mix of shops, and cool cafes.
Beach:
The best sand beaches for swimming and water sports are at Unawatuna. There are two lovely spots to sit and sunbathe in relative privacy at Light House Beach down a handful of steps or by the main working Lighthouse in the Fort or Lady Sea Baths, where you will find local women swimming fully dressed due to the predominantly Muslim occupancy of the Fort.

Nuwara EliyaNuwara Eliya
Nuwara Eliya is a city, in the hill country of the Central Province, Sri Lanka. The city name meaning is "city on the plain (table land)" or "city of light". The city is the administrative capital of Nuwara Eliya District, with a picturesque landscape and temperate climate. It is located at an altitude of 1,868 m (6,128 ft) and is considered to be the most important location for Tea production in Sri Lanka. The city is overlooked by Pidurutalagala, the tallest mountain in Sri Lanka. The city was founded by Samuel Baker, the discoverer of Lake Albert and the explorer of the Nile in 1846. Nuwara Eliya's climate lent itself to becoming the prime sanctuary of the British civil servants and planters in Ceylon. Nuwara Eliya, called Little England then, was also a hill country retreat where the British colonialists could immerse in their pastimes such as fox hunting, deer hunting, elephant hunting, polo, golf and cricket.

Pinnawela Elephant orphanagePinnawela Elephant orphanage
The Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage was started in 1975 by the Department of Wildlife on a twenty five acre coconut property on the Maha Oya river at Rambukkana. The orphanage was primarily designed to afford care and protection to the many baby elephants found in the jungle without their mothers. In most of these cases the mother had either died or been killed. In some instances the baby had fallen into a pit and in others the mother had fallen in and died. Initially this orphanage was at the Wilpattu National Park, then shifted to the tourist complex at Bentota and then to the Dehiwala Zoo.

SigiriyaSigiriya
Sigiriya rock rises 200 meters above lush green jungles, and is a declared UNESCO World Heritage Site. Asia's oldest landscaped gardens and ponds encircle this rock fortress, and at its summit is the renegade King Kasyapa's "palace in the sky". Fifth century ingenuity and skill produced a luxurious royal citadel with ramparts, moats, gateways, and a well laid out city, complete with bathing pools and gardens. On the climb up you could view the Mirror Wall, which still produces a glass-like reflection 1500 years after it was first created. Also on the way up you would see the famous Sigiriya frescoes - exquisite images of bare-breasted maidens painted on the rock face thousands of years ago. Located in the Cultural Triangle, Sigiriya is situated in the district of Matale.

Yala National parkYala National park
Yala National Park , one of Sri Lanka 's premier eco tourism destinations, lies 24km northeast of Tissamaharama and 290km from Colombo on the southeast coast of Sri Lanka , spanning a vast 97,878 hectares over the Southern and Uva Provinces . The vegetation in the park comprises predominantly of semi-arid thorny scrub, interspersed with pockets of fairly dense secondary forest. Small patches of mangrove vegetation also occur along the coastal lagoons. This is the park where the Sri Lankan Leopard locally known as Kotiya is one of the eight known subspecies of leopard is living.
